　　BornandraisedontheshoresofLakeSuperiorinThunderBay,Ontario,Canada.Mariegrewupfishing,huntingandcampingalongsidethefire,whereshespentmoreofherfreetimeoutdoors.Itwasthere,intheshadowof"TheSleepingGiant",aworldfamousnaturalmonument,thatshewouldlearnthesurvivalskillsneededforfulfillingherchildhooddreamofbecominganactionheroine.AftershestudiedBroadcastJournalismfor2yearsinherhometown,MariemadeapassionatedecisiontoleaveforEuropewithnothingbutabackpackontosoul-search.AfterseveralmonthsshefinallydecidedshewasgoingtomaketheswitchtothewestcoastofVancouver,BCCanadatochaseherdreams.HerfirstbreakintheEntertainmentIndustrycamewhenshewas21asaresultofherfavoritehobbysinceshewas16...playingdrums.ThetimingwasperfectasafriendhadalertedhertoacastingcallinVancouverwhichhappenedtobelookingfordrummers.Anagenthadrecognizedtheyoungrockerstalent&theopportunitylandedhertoappearinginvariousnationalcommercials.SheimmediatelycaughttheeyeofdirectorChrisColumbus("HarryPotter","Rent","MrsDoubtfire","HomeAlone")whohiredthebuddingactorinherfirstfeaturerolefor"ILoveYou,BethCooper".WhilelivingontheWestCoastshebookedmanyGuestStarappearancesonmajornetworks(FOX,CW,NBC,CBS)onshowssuchas"Supernatural","Fringe","Eureka",&"HumanTarget"tonameafew.In2011,MarielandedarolealongsideSethRogan,&JosephGordan-LevittonthebigscreeninGoldenGlobeNominatedfilm,"50/50".AftergainingsuccessinVancouverCanada,MariewasreadyformoreandheadeddowntoSouthernCaliforniawithherHarleyDavidsonmotorcycle,her110LBCaneCorso,withoutpapers&adoordieattitude."TheCityofAngels"hadwelcomedMariewithitschallengesofbeingthenewgirlintown.Inashortamountoftime,Mariewasapproachedwithanentireteamofprofessionalswhosawthestarletsunusualtalentsforbeingabletocapturesomeonesattentionwithherquickwit,actingabilities,pottymouthandtom-boyquirks.Sixmonthslater,herpaperscamethroughthedoorwhichledwayforrolestopourinonUSNationalCommercialCampaigns,aleadingroleonLifetimeMovieNetwork,andarecurringroleonMTV's"TheINbetweeners".AfteranexhaustivesearchlookingforthehottestnewactressbetweenthebordersofUSandCanada,MariewasofferedtheleadroleonaPilotcalled"FugitiveAt17".AnincredibletrackrecordforonlybeingintheUSforoneyear.Althoughherthrivingcareerhasearnedheralotofattentionasoflate,Mariecontinuestoprovethatshehasn'tforgottenhersmalltownroots.Whenshe'snotonset,shecanbefoundsurfing,fishing,camping,ridinghermotorcycle,&makingmusic.MarieresidesinLosAngelesCalifornia.
