The Rhyme of Ruins originates from an unforgettable flood I experienced. During the last moments of the flood, all fowls, snakes, scorpions, and insects had incredibly and instinctively displayed a sense of calmness and detachment. Disaster may not be a bad book for life. The birds' chirping and cooing seemed to convey hate as well as a feeling of missing something and weeping as well as talking. I intentionally paused in between breathes and the void that followed seemed to be filled with dancing dragons. The lonely man in the small boat is moved to tears, and I am unsure if it portrays the scene in My First Visit to the Red Cliff. Cycles of life and death repeat, struggles go on endlessly, the last boat found disintegrates in the end, disappearing and reappearing.
