Cole and Dylan Martin adore the game of soccer but when it comes to actually playing the game, the twins are just plain lousy. To make matters worse, they're left with their mom for a coach after their dad leaves for a business trip. Half the team quits and all seems lost but the boys discover the soccer talents of a mechanic named Rudy who finds himself coaching the team. All goes well until Rudy's past begins to catch up with him.
