The farmers of a village decide to postpone the construction of a new school in profit of a concentration to cheese production. From a novel by Jeremias Gotthelf. The story of this new, modern cheese dairy, which causes confusion and consternation in a farming village, is also intended to teach about how politics were conducted in those days and how the grand words and little egoisms never quite went together. 　　And not least, the story contains a whole host of comedy, as was so often the case with Gotthelf.
